Las Vegas a Best Performing City

According to the 2007 Milken Institute study on the best performing cities in the U.S. for job creation and sustainability, Las Vegas is number 9 out of 25, up from number 11 in 2005. The study found that despite slower growth in gaming and convention attendance, job growth remained strong – double that of the U.S. average. Risk areas were seen in the condo construction market and local housing. The study predicts Las Vegas will work through these challenges in 2008.
