While attending a class in a windowless room all day on Wednesday, I received a text from a friend asking what I thought of all the snow. We drove home through big, thick flakes which were already coating the landscape. The closer we got to Henderson, the thicker the falling snow became. By the time we got home, the palms in the the backyard were weighted down to the ground. We could have been in the mountains. The photos below were taken the next morning when the thaw had already begun. Even now, though, (3:30 p.m.) the hills surrounding the valley are still covered in snow. The great news for the kids – school canceled for snow for the first time in 30 years!
