Cactus11/12-1/1  20th Anniversary of the Cactus Garden Lighting at Ethel M:  2 Cactus Garden Dr., Henderson, NV.  The huge Ethel M’s cactus garden out front features a spectacular display of more than a half a million holiday lights, chocolate sculptures & demonstrations.  Lights on nightly, 5pm-10pm.  Performances by local choirs 6-8pm, Thurs-Sun.  Free Admission.  www.ethelm.com 800-471-0352

 

Red and Green Christmas Tree Lights11/15-1/5  Glittering Lights:  7000 Las Vegas Blvd N. The attraction is back for its 13th season and its fourth at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.  A new element that will debut on Friday, Nov. 29 is the Living Nativity made possible by the branches of the United Methodist Church.  Another added attraction will be the Princess Fairy World and back for its second year will be the Avenue of Trees, a dazzling display of Christmas trees that pays tribute to the charities Glittering Lights has supported through Speedway Children’s Charity.  Sun-Thurs from 5:30-9pm and Fri and Sat from 5:30-10pm and $15/vehicle on weeknights and $20/vehicle Fri-Sun and holidays.  www.glitteringlightslasvegas.com  702-644-4444

11/18-1/14  Winter in Venice at the Venetian:  Ice skating on the Las Vegas Strip.  3-11pm daily.  Parades 6-8:05pm & 10pm nightly at the Venetians Doge’s Palace.  Light show & tree lighting before parades.  Free.  702-414-1000

Christmas tree11/22-1/6  Magical Forest Season:  6300 W. 12/7  The Las Vegas Great Santa Run:  The Las Vegas Great Santa Run returns to Downtown Las Vegas!MH900053295  Event begins at 8am and with live entertainment and day of registration.  10am – 5K run begins with 1 mile walk immediately following.  Last year nearly 10,000 participants donned their Santa Suits in support of Opportunity Village and individuals with disabilities in our community.  Pick up your packet on December 6 between 5-7 pm and get your photo taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus!  http://opporunityvilalge.donordrive.com

 12/12-14  WinterFest:  200 S. Nutcracker12/14-15, 18-22  The Nutcracker:  The magic continues this December with The Nutcracker.
