Went for a beautiful hike the other day just outside of the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. It was just south of where you go into the park and on the opposite side of the road. The hike is called the Muffin Trail. You park at the Cowboy Trail Rides parking lot to start.
You hike up for almost 2 miles and gain about 1000 feet in elevation. We returned using some area bike paths and went through a rocky canyon. It was awesome. Very beautiful Joshua Trees and many varieties of cactus as well. We all remarked at how healthy the plants looked. Spectacular views at the top.
Highly recommend this for any type of outdoor enthusiasts.
