For the record, I predict Vegas housing falls ANOTHER 50%+ from where it is now over the next 5 years.
And GOLD is going to $5,000 an ounce plus.
Far too much supply is being held off the realty market by these weasel banks who should be foreclosing on about 100 times as many folks as they are. We are NOWHERE near the bottom.

I've been trying for months. The banks keep losing things, then requesting more docs. It's so frustrating.

As a Las Vegas homeowner who relocated to Washington, this is good news that maybe the market will slowly start recovering enough to where we can sell our house. For now, we will keep renting it out (at a loss). Thanks for a glimmer of hope Lisa!

The 90 period to stop all foreclosures ends 1 June 09. This means that 10,000 additional homes in the Las Vegas area will then hit the market. A one month period of history( a battle) does not a war win.
If any casino project fails ie Fountainbleu 16000 construction jobs will be lost and 10,000 jobs scheduled to start will be down the drain.

I agree. I read in the paper that Country Wide's former president and team are back in the market, buying homes at a low price and reselling at a higher price. Why is this allowed to continue. The middle class is drowning. We cannot continue to pay (through taxes) for the lower income people who are on welfare; subsidize the bankers (who are retiring with millions); illegal aliens who do not pay into social security and organizations like Country Wide who are holding up short sale applications to buy the property themselves.
I am with you Lisa; I am mad as hell and I am not going to take it anymore.
Please forward this to our legislators. I am 66 years old, and still working 4 jobs to make ends meet. I should be retired with no worries. Oh sure.
President OBama ran on a ticket to help the middle class. So start helping already before there is no more middle class to pay into taxes.
